9500GT not working with Intel G31 motherboard

September 18, 2009 at 10:09:37
Specs: Windows XP
My 9500GT not working with Intel G31
motherboard i have tired flashing bios. The
main problem is that when i put my vedio card
in i dont think my motherboard detects it
properly and cant install 9500gt driver but
when it does detect the onboard graphic card
stop responding and the 9500gt does respond
but shows no signal on the monitor

Please ask for more information if any needed

Quite a few systems were sold with G31 systems and 9500GT cards.

Did you bother to follow instructions for uninstalling the onboard graphics and installing the 9500GT? Or just shove it in and hope for the best?

What is motherboard manufacturer and model number? G31 is just the Intel chipset. What do you have for a power supply and what is the amperage rating of the +12v rail?
The 9500GT does't require a heck of a lot of +12v power but the extra 3 amps it needs could be a factor here.

First of all i didnt buy it as a whole bought made it on a shop
Well i had a previous 945 Express chipset motherboard and with
that my 9500gt worked fine but it got some problems and i had
to buy a new one and my choice was g31. And i have installed a
video card with instructions and i know them but still it didnt
work.
DG31PR is the motherboard
And i know the power supply is 100% fine for the video card as i
used it before on my 945 motherboard

Thanks for the quick reply and ill be really so happy if this problem is solved

I have the same MOBO. However, my plate of video is a 512 HD3870 ddr3. When I bind the computer, the screen is black. It seems that it does not recognize it. Solutions?
