5.1 Surround Not Working on Vista

Logitech X540 5.1 speaker system
July 3, 2010 at 14:48:15
Specs: Windows Vista
I have a logitech x-540 speaker system and i recently replaced my hard drive, my sound card is a IDT HD Audio, but i have been experiencing problems when getting it to work with my new hard drive. I plug the jacks into my laptop and when the IDT audio screen comes up i set all the jacks to dealing with the speakers but i still wont get surround sound audio. Only the front two speakers will work. Even in the set up screen on the IDT window only shows two speakers. My system is set to 5.1 audio in the configuration but for whatever reason it just will not work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you got the machine, did you get a driver disk with it. Since you swapped out the hdd, you need to reinstall the drivers. It sounds like you're missing the audio drivers for your idt.
