I have a old pc (5 years) with
-Memory (1*8gb)
-Intel core i5
-HP Pavilion
-Since I cannot boot my pc, the rest of details are absent
Please help!
This is a link the hp support pages and refers to/includes beep codes for the amd bios... - have a read through the whole "page". https://support.hp.com/gb-en/docume...
It may be a problem with the cpu; it may be a problem with RAM...
Usual steps to try initially:
Remove all power. Open the case and blow out all vents and cooling fans with compressed air (not a vacuum cleaner).
Remove Memory sticks; clean edges with soft pencil style eraser; wipe their edges with a lint free cloth (even a kleenex type tissue). Re-insert each memory stick firmly and then remove it. Re-insert and remove again. Then re-insert and leave inserted.
Then power up and see what ails?
Prior to current situation were there any other problems arriving; e.g. shutting down suddenly; hanging etc.?
According to HP, the Pavilion 500-c60 has an AMD A6-5200, not an Intel i5. There are other models in the 500-xxx series that use Intel CPUs, but the characters after the dash are different. https://support.hp.com/us-en/docume...
Did you make any hardware changes? 5 beeps seems to indicate a problem with the motherboard.
