Okay, I want to get the XFX Radeon HD 7770 graphics card (full info below) with 2 DVI, 1 HDMI, 1 DisplayPort, but I need to know if It can support 3 monitors hooked up simultaneously. I don't want to use any of that Eyefinity stuff, just have 3 displays. One monitor has DVI, one has HDMI or DVI, and one is VGA (I will get a converter), so will they work? Also, with the 3rd monitor, will a VGA to Displayport/DVI/HDMI work for using 3 displays, or do I have to have one of those annoying active converter things for it. Thank you ahead of time!

"I don't want to use any of that Eyefinity stuff"

As I understand it, you can extend the desktop across all screens without using Eyefinity, but if you want 3 individual displays, Eyefinity & one monitor connected to the displayport is necessary.

That's what I meant, just having 3, not extending all of them.

I'm having the exact same problem...

I have a Radeon HD 7770 card

1 x Samsung 27" S27B370 (HDMI to HDMI) - works
1 x Dell 24" ST2420L (Dual Link DVI-I to Dual Link DVI-I) - doesn't work
1 x Dell 24" ST2420L (Mini Display to Dual Link DVI-I) - works

Catalyst control sees the 3rd monitor, but doesn't let me activate it - grrrr

any help please?

"That's what I meant, just having 3, not extending all of them"

Extended means you "trick" the OS into thinking you have one huge monitor. For instance, if you have 3 monitors at 1920x1080, the OS will see them as one monitor at 5760x1080. Is that what you're trying to do?

Did you read my other response or click on the link? One monitor MUST be connected via DisplayPort. Does your video card have a DisplayPort?
