Specs: Windows XP
i have a gateway pentium 4 desktop everything was working fine untill one day i was going to purchase some more ram for it and i removed the ram card to see exactly what i needed to buy i reseated the card and turned the system back on my monitor recieved no signal and it sounded off three beeps i since then have reset the cmos reseated the video card and the ram and istill get the same three beeps does anyone have any suggestions

If all you did was remove the RAM, then replace, you obviously didn't reinstall the RAM correctly.

3 beeps = memory error

The proper procedure starts by shutting off all power to the computer using the switch on the back or pulling the plug. Did you do that?
