You should have temporarily disconnected the slave drive when reinstalling Windows. I'm unsure what you mean by "hard disk of 250gb lost its capacity of about 100GB"? What about the other 133GB? Or are you saying you lost 100GB of data? Whatever you do, do NOT try adding any files to the drive because your "lost" data may get overwritten. You're going to have to use some sort of recovery software.

See if RECUVA or TESTDISK will do the job:

SEE if the disk shows up in Disk manager, if it does then you may just need to assign it a drive letter. If you had unplugged it during the install and then plugged it back in after, then Windows would have done this for you. If the drive does not show up in disk manager then try this: shut down, unplug the drive, start the the system fully, shut it down again, plug the drive back in, and start it again. this may get it reinstalled properly. If not then use recovery software as indicated above.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Are you sure you do have two real drives?

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

Was it windows 7 as your specs indicate or maybe XP? The original XP with no service packs could only see partitions up to about 130 gig.
