I have a 1tb Samsung hard drive that suddenly began reading as 32mb. I saw similar post on this site about an external drive with this problem that was resolved by using the Uncut command of the MHDD app. My drive is internal, not external, but I tried this solution and it did not work, so I'm hoping for some other solutions.
The drive has been working perfectly for months. What happened was that I did a disk copy from my 30gb Western Digital to my 150gb Western Digital drive. I did not touch the 1tb drive at all. But after the disk copy completed I powered off the pc and removed the 30gb drive. When I power the pc back on, suddenly the 1tb drive detects in bios as 32mb. . I have invalvuable family pictures on this drive that I must get back, so I'm hoping you guys can help me come up with some answers.

Power down the computer and remove ac plug. Press power button a few times. Open case. Use esd strap to remove and reseat both sides of the hard drive data connector.

Return to service and see bios first to see if it reads correctly..

If not then might have to start swapping stuff. Either move drive to other system or swap data cable or check voltages at drive.

For the most part bios should see the drive correctly but oddly enough for newer OS's it isn't really needed. Can also try a live linux cd just to see if it shows correctly.
