Specs: Windows 7
I am facing this error "162 - Systems options not set.." I tried removing and replacing CMOS/on board battery, switched RAM's but still the error appears.
I am not able to access the BIOS setting to reset clock....

Can someone help me access the BIOS setup ?
Thanks

Please give us the make and model number of the computer.

Were you able to get into BIOS in the past and if so exactly what happens when you now try?

Was this after a BIOS update?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

" I tried removing and replacing CMOS/on board battery"

Did you replace it with a new one? The 162 error usually means the battery is dead.

"I am not able to access the BIOS setting to reset clock...."

Try using a PS/2 keyboard, not USB.

✔ Best Answer
Use the following steps to reset the default BIOS settings.

Press and hold the Power button for 5 Seconds to turn off the PC.

Press and hold the F10 key while you press the Power button to turn on the PC. Release the F10 key after text is displayed on the screen of the PC.

After the BIOS Setup Utility is displayed, press the F9 key to select Setup Defaults.

Press the F10 key to select Save and Exit.

BIOS access varies with computers. If all else fails watch the screen just after startup. Look for the word "setup" (which is BIOS) and it will usually give the appropriate keys.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
