HDD Regenerator is a waste of money - - it's a con. Bad sectors on a hard drive cannot be "repaired", it's a false claim but one which is readily believed by those who don't know any better.

There's only one cure for a drive with bad sectors - - dump it and buy a new one.

Hi Shubham,

There are two types of HDD.
Those that have failed and those that will fail!

A few (very few) bad sectors are acceptable.
When they begin to breed, the HDD should be replaced soonest.

Make sure you have at least two upto date backup copies.

Phil is not strictly correct.
When formatting a disk, MS FORMAT has an option to test bad sectors and if they are ok to use, resets them as such.

Good Luck - Keep us posted

Standard HDDs are relatively cheap these days. 500GB about $30, 1TB about $40, 2TB about $50. If you actually paid for the software, you paid way more than the cost of a new HDD.

Crap, that software is $90. As riider pointed out, it is cheaper to buy a new hard drive. That said, there is a money back guarantee offered. I would try to get your money back.

What problems was the drive having that caused you to use that software?
