The correct ram speed is 533mhz. If u got 1066 or 1333 ram underclock it. U need to mantain ratio 1:1.

I saw your post in overclock.net do u have trouble overclocking c2d e6300?

edit: oops!! 45nm it's pentium e6300 2.8ghz wolfdale-3m. Still 533mhz ram is needed.

I am still purchasing parts, so no I have not tried to overclock it yet. I am trying to decide whether to use 1066 or 1333 Memory. The motherboard supports both, but the CPU FSB is 1066MHz. I am not sure if the CPU can support 1333 RAM.

Maybe I should change me question to;
Which Memory should I use, because it would work best, 1066 or 1333?

It depends on cpu fsb, pentium e6300 fsb1066/4=266.5, ram 533/2=266.5 for c2d based cpu u need to maintain ratio 1:1. u don't need 1066 or 1333mhz. Anyway u can underclock to run @ slower speed.

edit: c2d 1333fsb need 667mhz ram.
1066fsb 533mhz ram.

If you haven't bought the board yet I suggest you go with another. Do you really want onboard video & just 2 memory slots?

I recommend a board that has 4 memory slots & supports up to 1600MHz FSB. Then get DDR2-800 RAM & overclock the hell out of your E6300.
