1 Long 2 Short Beeps

September 25, 2010 at 23:16:56
Specs: Windows XP
I get that when i connect my video card to AGP slot. I have a 430w power supply, and onboard is automatically disabled when i put in V-card with my motherboard. I have a DVI-to-VGa converter for the video card, and when i dont have that in the video card i just get continuous bleeps.
Any help?

And does any of your hardware have make & model numbers so we know what you're talking about?

Is it a namebrand system or custombuilt? What model motherboard?
What model AGP card? What make/model PSU? (430watts tells us nothing about it's specifications)

A brief google on your beep sequence gives video error as the culprit but you knew that already. Without detailed info we cannot know whether what you have are compatible components.

1 long, 2 short means the card is either bad, or not fully seated in the AGP slot.
