Why does my computer freeze when playin game?

Specs: Windows XP
Why does My computer Freeze everytime i play games? or everytime my screensaver is on? And the only solution is the Power Button :(

(I dont think its the over heating because my pc froze once when it was on 54C)

Where are you getting those temp readings from? They're are a mess & *probably* unreliable.

everest, cpu and system temp can be found in bios. Use gpuz to check gpu temp.

Yap i agree, but sometimes they provide false info. If he use different soft we can compare to speedfan results.

On my Asus board, it reports one of the temps as -128C. Try HWMonitor:

I have the same problem but that doesnt work at all
it only happens when my daughters play: games on the internet like roblox and somtimes webkinz. All it does is turn black with green stripes and it freezes. and i have to hold the power button for 6 second and it takes forever for it to reboot. but my computer always is fast the very next day!!!!! i cant take it.
