A friend of mine is selling me a computer he built for $175. What do you think, is it worth it?

You've gotta do better listing the specs. No mention of the make/model of motherboard, what speed the RAM is, the size/type of hard drive, whether it has a DVD burner or not, make/model/wattage of power supply. And the 8500GT isn't a good gaming card. Does it include monitor, speakers, keyboard & mouse? WinXP disc & software discs?

Asus M2N-E SLI - Motherboard
8500 GT 512 MB.
2 Gigs of RAM DDR2 800.
AMD Athlon 6000 Dual Core - About 2.8 or 3.0ghz.
Power supply is like 450watts.

The thing is there is no hard drive. But I already have my own.

So you'd be paying $175 for a tower with no hard drive? Stating the power supply is 450W means nothing, that's why I specifically asked for "make/model/wattage".

And since you didn't address my other questions, I assume there's no CD/DVD drive? No monitor, speakers, keyboard, mouse or software?

There are CD drives. No monitor speakers or keyboard, and I can get software for free through my company.

I have everything else. There's CD drives, but none of the rest, but I have everything already, software, keyboard, monitor, speakers, etc. It's a computer he built but no longer uses because he built another one.

You're still not answering the questions fully. Whatever, if you think it's worth $175, I guess that's all that matters.
