well to be honest with u i mean u have been here quite a while and u told me that u got the card.
so u should know what the card can do.
anyways HD 4650 GDDR3 is a low end gaming card it can play most games on medium quality with accepted resolutions at 30-35fps.
but im looking here at wut u wrote it says HD 4650 GDDR2. Its too bad u got the GDDR2 version as it wont suffice GDDR2 is slow the maximum memory clock it can reach is 500MHz or so.
So i'd say u return the card and get a GDDR3 version of an HD 4670

Video card models & graphics technology change quickly. Several months ago, the HD 4650 was considered a good entry level gaming card. It's still a fairly good card but has been bumped out of the entry level spot by the HD 5570 & HD 6570. The problem with the one you ordered is that it has GDDR2 memory instead of GDDR3, but it will still be a major improvement over the integrated video. Newegg has a lot of good deals right now so hopefully you didn't pay too much.

"oh well there is allways overclocking"

You can only make up for so much. You should have researched before you ordered. See the link I just added in my other response.

dude you give good advice i know but its full of negativity.some of us don't have availability.i went to buy a gts 450 but they didn't have it!!!(god i hate that store).so stop with all the negativity.i get like 100 to 120 fps on a game that barely managed to get 10 fps on my old intel card and that is considered good by me.oh and now i can answer to your question "have u ever played on a decent computer......something".yeah i have....now.everything is "BLISSFUL" at medium settings 1024x786 with me getting fps over 50 fps.oh and i got 1.7 gb graphics memory786 mb shared.why is this!!!

Sorry, I'm an old man & negativity is my way, take it or leave it.

BTW, this comment: "oh and i got 1.7 gb graphics memory786 mb shared.why is this!!!" says a lot about what you know & don't know about computer graphics.

1.7gb because of hyper memory or win 7 (768mb will not be used until 1gb is depleted).

Hd 4650 can handle newer games(crysis 2 or dirt 3) in high settings(1280 x 800 & below) if combined with faster cpu (eg c2d e8500 with gt 220 ddr3 outpeform e2200 @ 2.6ghz with 9600gt).

If u can upgrade CPU(e7500 is a good choice). I beleive u are running it with 180w psu right? U need a good quality unit(350 - 450w) if do not want any problems. I got the same temp on my 9600gt(745mhz core, 1862mhz shader, 990mhz memory).

CPU overclocking was already discussed in the overclocking forum. More evidence that this kid is both a kid & a newb:

http://www.computing.net/answers/cp...

If you want to overclock the video card, you're on your own, at least as far as I'm concerned. You'll get no further help from me, just negative comments.
