Then my RAM is 2gb but only 1.6 usable. I have been trying to play Arma but whenever im trying to do the campaign every step i take lags. I dont know if its my RAM or what. Now i was planning on buying a 2 4gb RAM set but i didnt want to waste the money if it may not even work. Please help me

You need 64-bit Windows if you want to install more than 4GB RAM.

If you have 32-bit Windows, the usable limit is 4GB installed RAM, (though it will show as only 3.2GB usable or something near that figure in Windows, but that's still better than what you currently have).

More RAM will certainly allow your laptop to run faster, but remember what the limit is for 32-bit Windows. It can only use between 3 and 4GB. You can install 8GB but half of it won't get used at all, so you would have wasted your money.

I have an AMD E-300 APU
U can't turn an entry level laptop into a gaming laptop.
Only old games and light games like angry birds or plants vs zombie can run well on your machine.

You know the real meaning of peace only if you have been through the war.

It's not about RAM, it's about the graphics. There's nothing you can do to improve your laptop's gaming performance.
