Solved Videolag using dualmonitor while playing game

March 8, 2017 at 10:42:01
Specs: Windows 10
I have dualmonitor setup. When I watch videos on one monitor (doesn't matter which), and play on the other, the video will freeze, skip frames and lag, while the sound will do the same. I have no problems with ingame lag. I've tried taking off fullscreen from both video and game. I've tried lowest resolution, still doesn't matter.
Thanks in advance

✔ Best Answer
Go to "Device Manager > Display adapters" and expand out your adapter. Right click it and select "Update driver software". Go for Automatic and see if there is an updated driver available. You could also check with your computer manufacturer.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

We need to know your system specs - at least CPU, RAM, graphics. It could be you're simply overloading a weak system.

riider is saying that if your graphics card, the amount of memory you have, or even your CPU is not up to it then you are overloading your system and your symptoms would be typical. Often, on a desktop, installing a stronger graphics card with more dedicated memory and more system memory and your system should be able to handle the extra demands better. Listing your system specs would help us help you on this.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
