Trying to improve video card to play Skyrim

March 20, 2012 at 23:17:05
Specs: Windows 7, 4.00GB
I need to improve my video card. I used a website to test my system specs, and I passed all of the requirements except one issue concerning my video card.
I have:
AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200

Dedicated Video RAM: 256 MB

The problem is that I need at minimum of 512MB of dedicated Video RAM.

I have 4 GB of normal (whatever normal is) RAM, and the minimum is only 2GB. Not sure if it is possible to re-proportion some of that towards dedicated video RAM or not.

Either way, what can I do to correct this problem? I am not afraid to spend a little money, but I really need somebody intelligent and informed to tell me what I need to buy.

Thanks.

"I am not afraid to spend a little money"

How about investing in a gaming laptop?

"A little money"
Gaming laptop = "a lot of money"

So returning to my question... does anyone know if there is a way to increase dedicated video RAM on my computer?
