Time Machine on XP won't work?

Specs: Windows XP
Dad has an old Windows XP offline because every time it tries to connect to Microsoft it kept getting wrecked even with a good firewall which once Dad totally disabled online networks so it would stop trying to get *updates* that never work.

Anyways we tried to install Time Machine by Cryo and every time you get past the first movie where Wales says "My machine has disappeared and I'm stuck more then 800,000 years from my Era!" the game kicks it out back to desktop. I guess Wales will never get back his machine. Darn. Poor Wales. Any work around?

On Windows 7 mode he got Virtual PC and the game works until halfway thru where it now freezes when loading a file from beyond the halfway point. I am not sure if it's because I used up all the available slots and it got totally defragmented.

In fact I tried to start a NEW GAME a second time and at the part where there is a cut scene showing one of the two guards shooting at the slave for touching his camel the *battle music* starts playing when it shouldn't though at least it still lets you leave the city on the camel since you did the correct procedures at the right time.

If you shoot at the guard before the cut scene shows then you will be in trouble but I wasn't that stupid.

It it's running XP, the 1st thing that needs to be done (if it hasn't been done already) is to install Service Pack 3. Once that's done, Windows Update should work properly. But before installing SP3, you should clean the system by running CCleaner-Slim. Remove everything it finds: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/bu...

Here's a link to SP3, I suggest you save a copy in case it's ever needed again: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...

As for the gaming issue, it's difficult to answer when you don't list any specs. Did you comfirm that the system meets or exceeds the minimum system hardware requirements for the game? Which graphics card is installed? Are all the drivers up to date?
