A cable called an "S/PDIF Digital Audio Cable" came with this GPU. It has a side with a two pronged header to plug into the card itself and one with a four pronged.
It says the four holes black header goes to the internal S/PDIF-Out header on my motherboard, but I don't have a header that matches... the GPU seems to work fine without it, but does it need this "S/PDIF Digital Audio Cable?" I thought it was just an audio thing for HDMI but I want to make sure...

Did you change your name so that you could ask the same question again?

Yes, the "S/PDIF Digital Audio Cable" is used for HDMI. If you have no intentions of using the HDMI port, the cable is unnecessary. If your board doesn't have a port to connect it to, you *may* be able to connect to an optical drive.
