Specs: Mac OSX, 512 mb
Here's the issue.

I'm running VirtualBox on my Mac laptop to run Windows XP.

My mac graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce 9400M

I downloaded the game "League of Legends" and when It tried to run it cashed and sais that my graphics card doens support Shader Model 2.0.

I looked up the capabilities of my graphics card and it says that it can support Shader Model 4.0.

Is something happening between my computer and running virtualbox to run os that it;s not reading my video card fully?

VirtualBox provides emulated hardware, including video card, to a client OS. The client OS has no access to the hosts video card. In the XP virtual machine open display properties and see what video card is being emulated. The characteristics of this card are what is important, not that of the host.

Good to know!

How would I go about trying and figuring out
One: what video card is being emulated
and Two: fixing it to support what i need it too, if theres a way

The emulated hardware provided by VirtualBox was chosen for maximum compatibility, not capability. By modern standards this hardware is quite limited and lacking the advanced features found in modern video systems. It appears (not surprisingly) that Shader Model 2 is not supported.

You cannot upgrade the video card in VirtualBox.

Why would you run Virtual box on an x86 machine?

Just load up bootcamp and boot into a real session of XP on real hardware.

Problem solved.

PowerMac 9600(1 ghz G4)
512mb RAM
50gb SCSI
ATi 9200 PCI
