✔ Best Answer
Yikes! For gaming? 2/10.
With 4GB of RAM: 2.5/10

A "GAMING FREAK" deserves a much better graphics card.

Socket 939 | Dual-core Opteron 185 @ 3.2GHz | 4GB | 1.0TB | Win7 x64
GeForce GTX 460 1GB | X-Fi Ti Pro | A8N32-SLI Deluxe | Antec P182

As above, you need more RAM & a decent gaming graphics card. The 9400 is NOT a gaming card.

if ur a gaming freak then u sure need a freak of a graphics card, the 9400gt is not even close. as mentioned above 2/10 barely.
in the link that miqlick posted look for the video card that suites u(medium end----> high end only)
if u want a high end card(gtx580) post back ur psu specs.
i suggest 2 good gaming cards under $100 without a psu upgrade, HD 5670 DDR5 or gt 240 DDR5 knowing that the radeon card is a bit faster and uses DX11

There's nothing we can do about the cost of hardware in your country. All we can do is point out where the weaknesses are in your system. The fact is, your system is not good for gaming the way it is & it needs to be upgraded. See the link at the bottom of response # 2.

"230 V power supply"

That means nothing. You need to list the make/model, wattage, & amperage specs. The +12v amperage is the most important. If you don't know what you have, open the case & see if the info is printed an a label on the side of the power supply. If you're from India, I believe power supplies are generally called SMPS. Here's an example of one you might see (it's not a good one):

dude i was saying power supply given to my home appliances by electricity board through out india !! but we use adapters so that we can reduce to our needs !! as we have SMPS it publishes necessary voltage to those devices!! no need to bother about that !! and that concerned shop keeper wont sell such products which doesn't suit to our PC's need not bother about that !! ty

Dude, most of us know that your country uses 230v power. That is useless info & has nothing to do with the discussion about power supplies / SMPS.

Do NOT buy a SMPS from a "concerned shop keeper". All he's concerned about is putting your rupees in his pocket. He is going to try to sell you crap - iBall, iCute, Hytec, PowerSafe, VIP, etc. - these are all low end garbage units that will give you nothing but problems. Order your computer parts (decent quality, brand name) from an online vendor & have them shipped to you. You need to buy a reputable brand like Antec, Corsair, CoolerMaster, Thermaltake, etc. And quality costs money, so be prepared to pay a lot more rupees for something decent.

Other than that, you didn't address my questions. What is the make/model of your current SMPS? What is the wattage? How many amps are on the +12v rail?

so what? circle is not a very good brand, cooler master, corsair, antec those are power supplies worthy of use for heavy duty pc's. its simple really, u want a high end graphics card u need a high end psu for the job, and urs might not be up to it i mean we dont know whats the amps on the 12V rail u keep telling us the model, just open the side panel look at ur smps unit 12V rail give us the voltage and we will tell u if u can get a high-end card or not.
if u dont wan to do this just go with what i suggested previously (gt 240, HD 5670)

yes u need to change it, with those u cant even run the ones i mentioned.
u need at least a 450W and 12V 23amps or more with a 6-pin power connector for the power hungry cards.
