Solved Question on Game Compatibility

Specs: Windows XP, Pentium III/384mb
Hello.

I recently acquired a Compaq Deskpro from a relative. It is from 2000, runs Windows XP Pro (it originally had Windows 2000 pro, but was upgraded at some point)
And I was wondering about its compatibility with certain games.

It has:

Pentium III (~730MHz)

384mb RAM

NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64/Model 64 Pro (16mb)

I was wondering if these games are compatible:

SimCity Classic Edition
SimCity 2000
SimCity 3000 Unlimited
Theme Hospital

If any or all of these games are compatible, what versions? Please help, I appreciate it.

The best way to find out what's compatible would be to google the game title along with the term "system requirements". You will find that there's usually minimum & recommended requirements. I'm fairly sure your system meets or exceeds the recommended requirements for all the games you listed. And even if they don't list XP as a supported OS, the games should still run. If necessary, you can always run them in Win95 compatibility mode.

EDIT: there may be an issue with DirectX in Theme Hospital. It states the graphics card needs to support DX7. The TNT2 only supported DX6.
