We'll need to know a little more detail than that, but I can tell you a few things based on what you posted. It appears you have 1024MB RAM but the onboard video is using 128MB of it. Don't know if your CPU is AMD or Intel, but based on the Radeon Xpress 1200, your board most likely has a PCIe x16 slot for a video card upgrade.

Try using CPUZ & see what info it provides. Download it, unzip, open the folder, then double click on CPUZ.exe & wait for it to do it's thing. Check the info listed under the CPU tab, mainboard tab, memory back your findings.

Another thing we'd need to know is your power supply specs. The only way to find out is to open the case & see what's printed on the label. Post the make, model number, wattage, & the amperages listed for the +3.3v, +5v & +12v rails.

Great. Your CPU is an AMD Sempron 3600+:

And you have 1GB of DDR2-667 RAM. It's actually best to run AMD CPUs with DDR2-800...DDR2-667 will work, but it isn't the best choice for optimal performance.

Your board is most likely an ECS AMD690GM-M2 & as I suspected, it has a PCIe x16 slot:

The info on the power supply is incomplete & googling "Powerlogic 550W" wasn't much help. I didn't find any manufacturer's specs, just a brief mention in a different forum saying it has 26A on the +12v rail. If that info's correct, you *should* be OK. So now it's just a matter of deciding how much you wanna spend, then finding the best card in your price range.

Tom's Hardware puts out a monthly article about "Best Cards For The Money"'s the Jan 09 update:

Read over the above & if you have any more questions, post back.

"Sempron? Looks like he has a low-end Athlon 64 X2"

You're right, glad to see someone's on top of things :) I saw the 3600+ & assumed it was a Sempron. I should have paid more attention to the CPU info. Windsor & caches should have tipped me off.

just a question guys, based on the reply jackbomb "Sempron? Looks like he has a low-end Athlon 64 X2" does that mean that its not good? just wondering.. :)

"Video Card: ATI Radeon Xpress 1200 Series"

This video card is not suited for any modern games beyond something like BF2.

Seeing that your motherboard is using RAM for video RAM, I assume this is a laptop. Time to get a new one!
