this is not so much a question but maybe some help to peeps. Recently installed latest win7 drivers and then in game would get really bad lag spike droppin the fps to as low 10fps at times.
I found what was causing this - (NVIDIA DRIVER HELPER SERVICE) or the process name = nvvsvc.
all i have done is disabled the service NVIDIA DISPLAY DRIVER SERVICE and the lag seems to have gone now and card is running back to full strength. So i posted this just incase of any help to anyone.
Thanks 4 the info.
THANKS!!!! no more stupid lag for me =)
btw in WinXP process name is something like : nvsvc32
can someone please write this procedure step-by-step cause I'm
drawing a blank here... I have Vista.
Please!!!
I have windows 7 and I'm confused about this. I have problems like bad spikes that I get very very low FPS. Can you please explain how to disable nvvsvc? I tried to end the process in task manager but it wouldn't allow me to =(.
I also found the file named "nvvsvc" in the system 32 folder. Do I delete that file to "disable" it? Or is there another approach?
Nvm found out how to disable it. Go to search and look for the program "Component Services" It will show a long list of services and look for the one that says "Nvidia display w.e thing" and right click it. There you can stop, pause, resume, etc. hope this helps
