The newest updated driver for the geforce 9400gt seems to have solved most of the problems with Star Wars Episode 1 Racer. However, if you don't have the right settings in the card, you've still got headaches. Be sure NOT to use Compatibility Mode on the icon. Does anyone have game w/card working perfectly yet? If so, list the card settings please.

The 9400GT isn't much of a gaming card (actually, it not a gaming card) but considering how old the game is you're trying to play, it shouldn't matter. And YES, you should be running Win98 compatibility mode with that game. Did you try disabling one of the cores?

When you use Compatibility Mode, the video is "stunted," meaning it's frame rate is horriblely slow, frame by frame, no flow. As I start the program, which seems to start at the right speed, in the bar, where you pick your racer, everything is dark and it goes into it's slow mode again. Turn Compatibility off and it's better!

I'm sure it's getting the switches in the Nvidia control panel right but I can't hit the right combination.
