Hi,
I recently tried to install NFS Underground 2, but it failed to install. On startup, it either doesn't do anything, or it displays the opening image, and after a few seconds, it's gone.

Event Viewer says this :

The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: 6.

I was also re-installing some other NFS games, and I found that suddenly NFS Most Wanted does not want to install anymore either. I had this one running earlier. It has the same kind of behaviour now.

All games are legit, original CD's. I know there is an issue with procexp.exe running, so I stop it when installing/running NFS.

I just installed NFS Underground (1) without any issue. Note that I have lots of other NFS and EA products as well on this PC.

What is making this software not to run/install ? There is NO error message on the screen.

I know that EA seems to have issues with these kind of video cards ... although they are powerful enough (that is not the problem). Could also be the other way round, the cards having issues with EA software, and/or with DirectX

well from my perspective some gfx cards (espeacially new ones) are engineered to play modern games not old but in ur case it should run well

I think at least one of the games is made in the same period as the card itself ... so even if what you say is true, it does not relate to my problem. I'm also trying to get help from EA, but I don't expect anything there.
