|Ok, I'm trying to remember a game that I played in the late 90's that was a lot of fun, but I'll be damned if I can remember what it was called. It has been a while so my memory is a bit fuzzy about certain things so bear with me here. lol|
It was a "mafia" style of game. Top down perspective. You took over businesses and could develop one of many kinds of businesses within them that you could upgrade. What I do remember was the businesses like "speak easy", "Gin Joints" for bars and for gambling you had "dice game" I think there was track betting and so on. As you took over buildings and open businesses you could upgrade them to make more money (ie Upgrade a speakeasy to a gin joint) I do remember that there was rival gangs that would try to take over your territory and you were expected to do the same.
I looked at movies from Mafia 1&2, Gangsters, Street Wars, etc... It's not them, but they kind of look like it. It was much more of a strategy game than a action game. I don't think there was a first person mode, but I may be wrong. I don't think it was a DOS game, but then again things are fuzzy. (I was 27... I was drunk a lot lol) I know there were a lot of games like these at the time so any title you can think of that sounds like it fire it out there and I'll take a look!
Thanks all for your help!
