My laptop keeps crashing playing big games

July 15, 2011 at 02:38:03
Specs: Windows 7
Ok, so my laptop turns off suddenly and without warning (usually about an hour or less worth of gameplay) if I play big games like dragon age II or Assassins creed 1 & 2
This has never happened before it has just started for about a week and came out of nowhere and is becoming pretty annoying...
I also don't remember any updates that has affected any of this
Please don't suggest to lower the graphics because my games are already at their lowest.

my specs (if needed) are:
CPU:Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M 370 @ 2.40GHz
CPU Speed:2.4 GHz
RAM:3.9 GB
OS:Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit
Video Card:GeForce GT 420M
Video RAM :2.7 GB
Hardware T&L:Yes
Pixel Shader version:5.0
Vertex Shader version:5.0
DirectX version:11.0
Sound Card:NVIDIA High Definition Audio
Free Disk Space:446.5 GB
DVD-ROM:Optiarc DVD RW AD-7585H

looks like you might have an overheating issue, since its happening when u game.
make sure when u game to put the laptop on something cool, like a cooling pad(u can buy one) or a table, just to get the airflow in. u know small fan and all.
and make sure to scan ur system for any viruses

Now that you mention it, my heating system has been hot lately, but I'm not convinced, I play in an airconditioned room...
