My computers lag when playing games

December 2, 2010 at 15:47:08
Specs: Windows XP, 3gb
It use to run really good, but now it lags on everygame. Even warcraft3. I have 3gb ram, 1tb internal memory spread amongst 5 internal hdd's( the master being an 80gb, and the slaves are 80gb, 398gb, 465gb and 158gb) and the graphics card i believe is a NVIDIA GEforce 6600 gt.

Ive deleted every game and cleared up about 100gb of space.

Theres also a Local Disk(C:) which is 7.78mb with no free space that i want to get rid of and
a dual load system when you start up the computer.
The dual load consist of only 2 windows xp, and only one works. How do i get rid of the other?

Please help me. =(

U left only 7.78mb on system drive(C:)? How to get rid of o ther win xp? Format the drive that contain non working win xp. Make sure drive c: free space is atleast 3gb, then install the latest driver for the v-card(un-install the old one first and restart the system), latest driver can be found from nVidia website. 6600gt was a good gaming card but now it's not(still good for old games).

I would start completely from scratch. I don't know why you need all those HDDs, but that's your business. Why are you running the OS from the 80GB drive which is probably the slowest of the bunch? How is the 80GB currently partitioned & how are the rest of the drives being used?
