Moving to Lancaster, CA - trying to find ISP

Hi,
I'm moving to Lancaster, CA. The cable provider at the address I'm moving to is Time Warner. I've made terrible, terrible experiences with Time Warner about 10 years ago. So I'm extremely hesitant to sign up with them. They promise on one of their plans speeds of 30 Mbps. They wouldn't tell me if they guarantee those speeds or if I will have to expect slower connections and actually told me that the speeds were dependent on my equipment!
Anybody out there who is a Time Warner Customer? What are your experiences? Should I go with them or rather go with a slower DSL connection from a more trustworthy provider?

Thanks for all info!

Pia

Check if Comcast or Cox is available for your new address.

I'd probably giveTime Warner a shot then. Much can change in 10 years. Good luck and welcome to the hi desert.
