Laptop resolution problem, help !

Specs: Windows 7, Dual Core P6200 2.13 GHz / 3 GB DDR3
How do I make a game run in fullscreen on 1024x768 resolution, on a 16:9 laptop screen ? Because right now the game is running with black bars above and under the actual "action"

The laptop has a native resolution it was meant to be run at - it should NOT be changed. The game resolution setting should be changed in the game menu.

Well I did change it from the game menu... I can't run it at the default resolution (1366x768) because my hardware can't handle it.

It's a little difficult to help when you don't tell us the make/model of your laptop or the name of the game you're attempting to play.

If your laptop's native resolution is 1366x768, that's what it should be at. Do NOT change it. The game menu is where the resolution should be changed. Based on the P6200 CPU listed in your specs, you most likely have a cheap non-gaming laptop with crappy Intel graphics. The game resolution will have to be set very low to be able to get reasonable performance.
