Solved laptop problems with gaming

Specs: Windows Vista
Every time i play a game, after a while my laptop makes more noise and than it shut off. When using my laptop for othet things everything is ok and no noise. Can somebody help me with this problem? Is it the cooling or so i've been told that you can buy some software to stop this problem,but i don't know wich software.

simple its overheating too much that no more airflow is cooling the cpu thus its shutting off. what u can do is list ur laptop specs,
then try putting the laptop on a wooden table or something not cloth which allows airflow inside the cpu and laptop, or buy the laptop a cooling pad

Hello, for one week it went well with the coolingpad, and now i have the same problem. Even with the coolingpad my laptop shuts off after a while.

I've bought a logitech cooling pad N 100, maybe it's not strong enough? Can you recommend me wich cooling pad is the best?
