Specs: Windows 64
My Laptop needed servicing last year, and they needed to wipe the entire drive to find out what was wrong, so now I am only wondering, how would I reinstall Sims 4 if that should happen again?

if you are running on origin (some kind of software like it ) you can wipe your drive and later download origin then sign in and download the game again.

How did you get sims4 on your pc in the first place?
Did you buy it on steam/origin/etc?
Or did you buy it from a store and installed in on your pc with a CD-ROM?

If you did install it with a CD-ROM, can you play the game without the CD-ROM?

If last statement is true (

You can copy the files to a flash-drive aka usb-stick/drive,
Make sure to not forget the files outside of Program Files of the x86 version if there are any, for example some games store savegame data in:
%ProgramData% - (C:\ProgramData)
%Userprofile%\Documents - (C:\Users\*your username*\Documents)
%appdata% - (C:\Users\*your username*\Appdata\Roaming)
%localappdata% - (C:\Users\*your username*\Appdata\Local)
%localappdata%\VirtualStore - (C:\Users\*your username*\Appdata\Local\Virtualstore)

Here is another option:
Purchase an external hard drive. Create an image of your hard drive now when all is working correctly and place it on the external drive. At anytime in the future you can reimage your hard drive from the stored drive image. Windows 7 can do it through its back up section and making a Repair Disk will allow you to boot the machine and reimage the same or new blank hard drive. I am not as sure Windows 8 or 10 still has this option but there are other software you can get that can do this also.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
