I have $2500 to put into a setup. I would like to include twin monitors, quality speakers with deep bass, keyboard and mouse in the budget.
The local computer store gave me a quote on a system for $2 627 that included
Motherboard - Gigabyte 787M-D3H M/Board
Case - ASI Red Mid-tower 700w, supports 5 x 3.5" fixed, HDD, single 700w PS
Processor - Intel Core i5-4570 Processor
Memory - DDR-III 4Gb 1600MHz DIMM H (K) x 4
SSD - Kingston SSD V+200 120 Gb Drive
Hard Drive - Segate Sata3 2TB 64Mb
CD Drive - DVD-/+ RW SATA 24x Black
Keyboard/Mouse - Logitech
Graphics - GTX760 gigabyte 2 Gb
Monitors - BenQ 24" LED widescreen
Operating System - windows 7Is this alright value?

Are you unable to build it yourself? That price seems awfully high for what you'd be getting. I suggest going with a board based on the Z77 chipset rather than the Z68 & get more details about the 700W power supply.
I agree. I think the price is high for a PC that will be used for home computing. Personally, I'd go with a Dell System. Windows 7 is still available, or you can be brave and get Windows 8. :)
