Solved How to play the old adventure games?

Specs: Windows 64
Hello, you might say that the program to use to start the old adventure games on windows? the other day I saw a video of Monkey Island and Grim Fandango, I came away a tear, and it made me want to play them again. I also have the original disks, it took me hours to find them at home. What do I do? Who helps me groom (I hope you girls) LOL

One other thing to ask but focuses less, still to play adventure games?
if so what?

What operating system are you using (there's no such thing as Windows 64)? I assume you are using the 64 bit version of something. If so and the disks are 16 bit then they will never run. If they are 32 bit then they might work in compatibility mode.

The operating system is Windows 8 64 bit. I tried to insert a CD ROM is telling me that I have to have windows 98. Using the compatibility on the installation tells me anyway error. I am going crazy...

In the last sentence I meant if you still play these types of video games.

Almost certainly that disc is back in the 16 bit days. If so the only way to get it to run on a 64 bit machine is to use a virtual machine. There is a chance that some games might run in DOS box if you can shoe horn them into it somehow:

(see download at top middle of page where it says "Latest version").
