Os system is Windows 7 64bit home premium. When I play fortnite i got 40 fps but it always drops to 8 fps. It is almost uplayable. I have the latest driver installed. GPU temp is 61º, CPU temp 70º. I don’t know what to do anymore. I think the driver cause the problem but i’m not sure. Can you help me?

Make sure the game is using the Nvidia GPU, not the Intel. And you may need to lower the game settings to get higher FPS.

BIOS setting for primary graphics card should be 'PCIe' or 'PCIe when available'.
Latest graphics driver is important.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Dear,

I'm sure the Nvidia card is set as the primary graphics card. I have looked again and I alreay had the latest driver installed. And even on the lowest settings the fps drops from 50 to 0.

With best regards
Vincky

Have you tried using the lowest ingame graphics settings?

It could be that the game exceeds the 1GB(1024MB) VRAM capacity of your GPU, thus uses RAM for storing its data(about 6 times slower)
If you run out of RAM(system memory) the game will use your disk(HDD or SSD) again about 50 times slower.

A Program called GPU-z allowes you to monitor VRAM (dedicated RAM for the GPU) usage of the Graphics-processing Unit(GPU/videocard)

You could literarly build a desktop PC for 420$(monitor included, also the CPU has an IGPU that about 4x better than the GT540m):

You may need to buy an extra keyboard and get a windows license key + a usb-stuck which was prepared with "windows-media-creation-tool"

So ask some money for christmas & ur birthday, then build it yourself with the help of some how-to video.

getting the same perfoamce in a laptop will set you back around 800$, if not more.

Because the gt50m is a s--- card that , it was pretty bad in 2010, it will be bad at any game released from 2008 or later.

I mean you don't expect a 2nd hand fiat 500, and expect some Nissan GT-R performance, do you?
