Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in the systems! Please make sure you have a DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer. The application will now terminate.

if you could give me a ~safe~ wed site that doesnt slow down or mess up ur computer, thatd be amazin. thxs. =) (i dont really know what category to put so i chose one that sounded kinda rite)

The 1st thing you need to know is the make/model of your graphics card. Once you know that, make sure you have the latest & greatest graphics driver available from the manufacturer's website. More than likely, the drivers will be either ATI (AMD) or nVidia:

http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownlo...

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/inde...

You should get DX9.0c directly from Microsoft:

I'm not all that familiar with Vista, but see if this works:

Right click on the Start button, then click Properties. Click the Start Menu tab, select Customize, put a check mark next to "Run command", then click APPLY, then OK.

Now click the Start button again & you *should* see RUN at the bottom option on the right side of the menu. Click RUN, type in msinfo32 & click OK. That will bring up the System Information screen. On the left side, click the + next to Components, then click Display. On the right side, at the top, what does it list after Name ?

It means the system has Intel integrated graphics.

Go to the following site & click "check your system for the latest updates":

http://www.intel.com/support/graphi...

alrite then this happend;
Product Detected IntelĀ® 945G
Current Driver Installed 7.14.10.1461
A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver Update Utility is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer.

so should i just call someone, like i dont even know who to call. I just dont get it, the games worked b4 =(

One last thing to try. The following site will scan your system to tell you if your system hardware is capable of playing the game or if it's lacking something. Just select your game from the drop menu & click the "Can You Run It?" button. You'll be prompted to install an ActiveX add-on...go ahead, it's safe. Your results will then be displayed.

Can You Run It?

BTW, look for The SIMS 2, not just SIMS 2 :)

A yellow bar should appear at the top of the internet explorer window after you click "Can You Run It?". It says something like, "this website wants to install the following....". Right click on the yellow bar, then click "Install ActiveX Control". Another box will then pop up, click Install. The results of the scan will be displayed shortly after that. The whole thing should take less than a minute.

all that happend what you said ACCEPT the part that said "The whole thing should take less than a minute."
sure it says; installing component. but it never does. i just sit there...and wait...and... Nothing. =''( computers just must hate me, i dont understand why my directx thingy just ran away...

ohh and i was looking around on my computer and i found this thing... well the point is, on it was about scanning files to make sure they where running okey and if they werent it was suppose to tell you how to fix it. yeah and attempted to do that but its didnt have every button to click on that my computer said it would, it did for all the others of course O.o im sorry if im bad at explaining... i just thought you mite want to know this part... cause the reason y i told u all that, it said sims had 0 bytes on it, and i dont think thats rite... i mean ive played that game for yrs now, so shouldnt it have some kind of record??? dont sims take up a whole bunch of space?
