Which Couter-Strike? The original version or Counter-Strike: Source.
Post your full system specs (CPU, RAM, Motherboard, Video Card, Power Supply) or if you have an OEM system (HP, Dell, Gateway) post it's Model Number.

1. You're using Vista, as a personal opinion, upgrade to either XP, or Win 7, or expect more issues.

2.Download the correct video card drivers for your laptop and install them.

3. Make sure you have the most up to date Direct X from M$.

Why play Counter Strike when you can play a game that is very similar, yet 1000% better, and FREE (TOTALLY FREE)?

Forget about Counter Strike. I played that years ago. I play Combat Arms now which is available for FREE (Including Multiplayer Gaming) at:

http://combatarms.nexon.net

This is my favorite game and I play it all the time :)

I hope to see you guys playing it soon!

Later,
