I know my sh*t with computers in general, though my knowledge does have some holes - tech support rep for 7 years, QA testing for 6. I built my computer. I've done a fresh restore after wiping the hard drive. But I get the same problem. I do not know how to read windows error logs, however...or even to set them up in a way that I can catch them before the computer freezes or blue screens. This only happens when playing games on Facebook, by Zynga, and it happens in any browser. It is more likely to happen when watching tv on my computer in the background, but happens irregardless. My system is 6 months old, added a sapphire 5570 Radeon card with 1gig, have 4 gigs of RAM in my system.

agree with Toxict51 - facebook is a cesspool of malware and links to even more malware. if your machine starts acting up during or after playing games in facebook, you'd better make sure you're not infected by using several different AV and malware scanners (malwarebytes antimalware is good)

Obviously people didn't pay attention... he said he wiped his HDD, which would probably take care of malware.

I would try different browsers and make sure you have updated java/flash player etc. Doesn't sound like spyware if it only happens during FB gaming (and if scans come back clean, and it continues after a restore).

Definitely not a hardware issue, FB games are browser-based (no real hardware requirements).

I cant afford to pay and Mom is on fixed income. She loves Farmville and Fishville. The screen freezes every time otherwise computer seems ok, but could not be its just that this is the only thing she does.
