CoD6 and Fallout 3

Specs: Windows 7, 2.66GHz / 3GB RAM
I have a HP tower with a 2.66 GHz dual core AMD x2 processor and 3GB RAM. I want to play Call of duty 6 modern warfare 2 and fallout 3 on this machine, but i need a new graphics card.

This is one the one I am thinking of buying, if there is a better one for the same or less price, please tell me. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Produc...

I need this machine to be able to play both Fallout 3 and CoD 6 at full speed, I don't really care about graphics, I just want good performance.

yes the v-card is fine. or u can get nvidia 9800gt 512 for CDN$90 (which it can run both games maxumum setting plus eye candy). Psu requirement 450w +12v@26A, but u can run it with 400w +12v@15-20A.

"I don't really care about graphics, I just want good performance"

Weak graphics = poor gaming performance.

@jam, dude, wth? by your definitions, i could have a 1GHz pentium 4 and 512mb ram with a gtx 240 and cod6 would run fine?

anyways, i saw people on youtube play cod6 on a 8400gs with a dual core 2.16GHz and 2GB ram at full speed. Will it run smoothly with this? http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicati...

thanks in advance

"anyways, i saw people on youtube play cod6 on a 8400gs with a dual core 2.16GHz and 2GB ram at full speed. Will it run smoothly with this? "
well those ppl dont know what gaming on a pc is like i bet they are playing it at what abt 800x600 reso or less at low medium
the 9600 gso u mentionned is like 10 times better than the 8400gs maybe more
it can run both games maxed out
and im soo sure that if u got the 8400gs to run the games u wont be able to play upcoming games the way u want so i suggest to stick to the 9600gso

Weak graphics = poor gaming perfomance.
8400gs = poor gaming perfomance.
I know your budget is tight, buy v-card that will play upcoming games well.

8400gs perfomance is similar to fx 5800 ultra. No 8400gs can't run modern warfare well.

9500gt isn't good, buy 9600gso or 9800gt.
