504Mb of memory? What do you have for a video card?

This took only a moment to look up...

* Windows XP (32-bit) with Admin rights
* 1.7 GHz Intel Celeron D / Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP/ Sempron or greater
* 512 MB of RAM or more
* 8x or faster CD/DVD drive
* 2.3 GB free hard drive space or more
* Video: DirectX 9.0c compatible (see video)
* Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible (Sound Blaster X-Fi series recommended )

Video card must have 128 MB or more memory and one of the following chipsets:

* NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 or greater
* ATI Radeon 8500 or greater"

With only knowing very little about your system, I can only guess that it might run a low settings.

"will battlefield 2 work for my computer"

My guess would be NO, especially after seeing the 504MB RAM. That usually means you have 512MB but 8 MB is being used for onboard video. At the very least, you need to install a video card.

"how do u know if u have a vidieo card or not"

Look at the back of the computer case to see where the monitor cable connects. Have a look at the following pic...if the cable connects to the "C" area, you have onboard, if it connects to the "D" area, you have a video card. My guess is it connects to "C".

If you want to install a video card for gaming, you'll have to determine which upgrade slot you have available. It will either be standard PCI, AGP or PCI-Express. If you have an OEM sysytem (Dell, HP/Compaq, Gateway, etc), post the model number & one of us will be able to look up the specs & advise you what to get. Let us know how much you'd be willing to spend.
