Today I tried to install a solitaire game on 3 different computers. First error message was "D3D8.DLL not found. Did a search and found the file in 3 different directory. Did a copy and pasted it into the program on this laptop and got a different message "Direct3D device not found. The game also get the 3d device message on the desktop XP. I did a download of the device on the desktop and still got the 3D error message. Any solution?

Windows already has solitaire. And we can't help if you don't list your complete system specs....motherboard, CPU, RAM, video card. For gaming, the video card is the most important.

I had played games on it before. Do not know if all the information you need is there in #3.

To all that responded thanks for your help. I did not get the laptop to recognize the flash drive.

I am opening a new topic to format the hD using Win98 for its new owner.
