Specs: Windows 7, Core i7 4510u/16gb
I have an Inspiron 17 model 7737 that I had upgraded to Windows 10(from Windows 8.1 originally) with 1tb HD, Intel/Nvidia Optimus graphics, Intel 7260 Wireless-N, 16gb ram and full HD screen. I decided to wipe and reload it with Windows 7 recently and Windows 7 accepted most of the drivers with the exception of the USB 3.0 eXtensible controller driver. I am assuming since, at the end of the install process of this driver it said that my system doesn't meet the hardware requirements that this driver won't work with Windows 7. I have searched at the Intel and Dell sites for a suitable driver for Windows 7 and as yet have not had any success. All of my hardware that I will use in the USB 3.0 ports...are USB 3.0 rated. If I missed anything, let me know. As always, all opinions and replies are greatly respected and appreciated.

Where did you get the drivers from? Dell don't support Windows 7 on that computer, and don't offer any drivers.

There are several different USB 3.0 eXtensible drivers available. My guess is this is the correct one:

Thanks for the reply. Bingo, Yahtzee, Eureka! This solved my issue. Again, you are my go-to site for tech-help. Although I thought that I had looked at the Intel site for the driver. Obviously, I missed it and...yeah...you guys scored again! Thanks for this. Hope you guys had a nice holiday with your families. So have a safe and happy new year and... I couldn't have gotten here without your help. Tante grazie.
