Why does'nt Direct3D and DirectDraw work ?

Specs: Windows 7 Service pack 1, Pentium 4 2.40 GHZ /2 gigs
Direct 3d used to work on my earlier Windows Xp OS.But ever since I switched to Win 7, the feature keeps telling me to update my graphics card*.

*I have a Radeon 7000

The graphics driver currently installed is not compatible with Windows 7. Checking the Device Manager should confirm that.

Note: I just checked the AMD website (they now own the Radeon brand) and they do not have a Windows 7 driver for the Radeon 7000 so you'll have to remove it & fit a new soundcard.

A Vista driver would probably have worked fine but they don't have a Vista driver for it either. A new soundcard is the only way to fix the problem. AMD/ATI haven't released a new driver for the Radeon 7000 since the Windows XP one, and that definitely won't work on Windows 7.
