If you re-install Windows by using the laptop/PC manufacturer's Recovery method, then all the third-party drivers, including video drivers for on-board video adapter, should be installed along with Windows.

But if you re-install Windows using a retail Microsoft Windows 7 disc, some drivers will probably have to be downloaded and installed afterwards from the PC or laptop manufacturer's website.

If your video adapter is not on-board but is instead a PCI card which you have installed yourself, you will have to install it's driver from the CD supplied with it, or download from the card maker's website. The card will work without it's proper driver (Windows will substitute a generic driver) but you won't be able to set the correct display resolution or colour depth until the proper driver is installed.
