Solved Trying to get my wireless NIC and my motherboard NIC drivers

November 26, 2014 at 06:30:38
Specs: Windows 7
So my old HDD died on me and I got a new SSD. I installed windows 7 premium. When it was installed, Neither my NIC on my motherboard or my wireless nic are not getting the drivers. I tried to download the linksys drivers version 4.1 on the linksys website but it said there is not firmware available. Then I tried to find the driver for my NIC on my motherboard, ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard and could not find anything.
I even tried to use my usb wireless adapter and it still would not install. I have no idea what I am doing wrong.

✔ Best Answer
LAN & other drivers for your motherboard model are here:

Please install the INF driver first (ie chipset driver), then any others that you need.

However, since that board doesn't have built-in WiFi, you won't find the WLAN driver there. It will be on your WiFi card manufacturer's website, but you must make sure to select the correct card model otherwise you'll get the wrong driver which will give you the error "no supported hardware installed" (or words to that effect).

Good luck!

Thank you for the help. I do not know how I could not find my motherboards drivers, tried google and the website, but I always have problems finding stuff that is usually right under my nose. Thanks again.
