I have just upgraded to windows 7 on my compaq presario r3140US laptop and am having problems with my graphice adapter. I have already researched as much as I can, and I know that my system does not support an upgrade to windows 7, but I also have found so called "workarounds" to the compatability issues that I am having, which so far all are working, except for my graphics driver issue. All previous attempts to try to upgrade my graphics adapter has failed (failed meaning, error during install, or says installed successfully and upon restart it is still the generic VGA adapter in device manager) except for 1 attempt. I finally got the device manager to recognise my actual adapter, but now the device manager says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". The website where I got the instructions to recognize my adapter has no contact info to ask them directly so I resorted to this forum for support. Any suggestions on how to get my adapter to work in windows 7? I dont care if Aero is suported or not, but I just want to be able to have a decent display. Right now, my screen saver is not even smooth and clear.

A GO version is customised by the Manufacturer and would say you have no luck what-so-ever unless you write your own driver.
