I dont want to use the HDMI high def sound the gt 220 comes with i just want to use my simple on board sound i was using all fine and dandy before i did all this. Ive tried many things, ive disabled all high def audio in device manager made sure my bios had on board on auto, uninstalled the card and tried it but no sound, i went in to control panel and it shows i have audio codecs working good and legacy working good and all that but it shows under volume tab there is no audio device at all? what is going on? im so confused a need a pro to help me please and thank you. ill paste anything you need be to paste

In Device Manager are there any 'unknown devices' or any exclamation marks against other devices? If you've definitely enabled on-board sound in the BIOS then it's most likely to be an issue with drivers not being loaded - hence no audio device being found. Codecs & legacy devices are other things, you still need the main audio device first.
