No display on monitor

Specs: Windows 8.1, 1000 GB
I messed with the display settings in my computer.. i went into the second display option and pressed a button 'show desktop only on secondary display' even though there is no second display connected to my CPU. Now there is no display on my monitor and nothing I can do to bring it back..Please Help....

Go to Safe Mode and undo whatever you did.

Hey Derek.. i am the one who posted this question and i am sorry to tell you that i cannot get it into safe mode because i cant see anything on my monitor... i thank you for your intention to help me...

Hey Derek.. i am sorry i did not mention it but my CPU does not have an extra slot for a second monitor or else i would have done it beforehand...

Hmm - Tricky.

Do you ever see anything at all on the screen when booting up? If you don't then most likely you had a hardware failure and what you did was just coincidence.

Better let us have the make and model number of the computer. By the way CPU is just the processor chip (a component).
