Network adaptor is not working fine

July 12, 2011 at 12:07:38
Specs: Windows 7
I'm not good with computers and having a little trouble with my network driver or adaptor.

Recently I've re-installed windows 7 because starting windows took like 15 minutes. Now it is all fast, but the internet was not working. So I checked evertything and came to the conclusion it had something to do with the adaptor. When I switch the network adaptor off and then on again, I can connect to the network. Now the problem is that when I turn off my computer and then turn it back on I've got the same problem. I really don't know what is wrong, can someone please help me?

Check your PC maker's website to see if they have a Windows 7 driver for your network adapter.

Alternatively, just fit a new network card into a spare PCI slot.
Windows 7 will install it's own driver automatically.

If existing network adapter is on-board, you will need to go into the BIOS Setup and disable it otherwise it will conflict with your new one.
